With the incredible success of GETC over the last 36 years, there is one thing that stands out the most, one thing Coach Guy is most proud about…All five (5) of his sons made it as Collegiate Liberos to the NCAA Division I Mens Collegiate Volleyball Competition, with one of them owning a National Championship ring (2022). 

In his mind, this is the proof that his philosophies, coaching strategies and relationship building works. But the credit does not lie in his efforts alone, but that of teamwork with wife Julie, a high school and collegiate standout and still competing national champion. Together they towed all five boys through GETC every summer, coached their club teams and traveled the country and beyond supporting their every volleyball venture. It is one thing to coach other peoples kids, and totally another to coach your own. 

Getting every single kid to love the game, have the tenacity to pursue and perform at their best and reach a pinnacle of success they can be proud of…this is Coach Guys biggest, best and proudest accomplishment.  

The success Coach Guy and Julie has with their five boys are a testament to the strategies and philosophies that are the foundation of GETC. Whether it be the leading-edge drills, the Powerbook, the unique tournaments, BRED, goal setting or building team and relationships…if your mind is open to growth and continuous learning, there is much to gain in being part of our GETC Teams, Staff and Ohana.
